Outdoor Installations

I am the Arts Facilitator with the Farley Center for Peace, Justice & Sustainability. We invite artists to come explore using natural materials as we create art installations in the woods every couple years. We all have an ethic toward sustainability and learning new ways to work. These are some of the pieces I’ve created. Here is a link to all of the Farley artists.

I’ve learned a lot as I’ve moved off the wall and onto the land. It’s not easy doing something large in an even larger woods. It’s not easy to use only natural materials and you have to learn to let go of permanence and allow the moment and the act of making to be the main thing. I’ve also learned how beautiful and healing it is to my spirit to work collaboratively with the earth.
